[Ipodlinux-devel] Unable to open an initial console

hi,

at kernel startup i have the following error: Warning: unable to open 
an initial console

The root partition is well mounted (since i have VFS: Mounted root 
(hfplus filesystem) readonly.) and the init process is running 
etc/inittab. But apparently it never runs the etc/rc scripts (or i 
can't see any results because it should prints "Welcome to ipod linux" 
and i don't see it). Is it due to the console problem? how can i fix 
it?
