Hi Gilles, Does this happen everytime you boot the iPod? I have a 10gig 2nd gen iPod and I haven't seen it not work but could imagine there is perhaps a race condition on the bootloader which means that the 2nd cpu is not configured properly. Perhaps you could try rebooting a couple of times see if you always see the same result? cheers, bern.
