[Ipodlinux-devel] Audio Driver

I've noticed that the current version of the audio driver only supports 
44100kHz, 16 bits, stereo. Is this because the DAC chip only supports 
this, or because the driver does not yet support changing the format ? 
If there is enough doc on the chip, I could work on the driver to add 
support for it. Is that documentation available ?
