[Ipodlinux-devel] ipodlinux-2.4.20-patch-0.3.gz apparently not a gzip file

Hi,
	I'm not sure if I've got the skills to contribute to this project, but 
I would like to do so if possible.  I don't know if its been done 
already but an e-mail in the archives from April mentions trying to use 
ncurses to develop a user interface.  I think I know enough to work on 
that.  I tried downloading the source for the ipod linux kernel patch 
from a few of the different mirrors on sourceforge, but gzip tells me 
that the file is not in gzip format.  Is there something I'm missing?  
I realize I shouldn't need the kernel patch source to build a user 
interface, but I just wanted to read through it to learn something new.
