Hi guys,
I just spent the evening building the latest cvs versions and installing
them on my ipod (2.4.24-uc0 + ipod_fs_030323 / new modules). I'm pleased
to say it worked out pretty well (i.e., I didn't delete my 24Gigs of
mp3s in the process and I'm still smiling). Great work lads! Good to
see this project coming together!
Not all is working though - I get 'no such device' errors when the rc
script reaches ifconfig. I guess I'll be debugging without telnet for
the first while... (Didn't I see a very recent email from Bernard that
the G3 issues had been fixed?)
Audio: I fired up 'mp3example', and it seemed to play the song quite
happily - but I didn't hear anything. No error messages, and the
process ended neatly after the song was over. Am I missing some
instructions on how to change the volume?
FS: I tried 'mount -t vfat /dev/hda2 /iPod' (after having created the
mountpoint) - but failed. Have I got the wrong device name?
Any assistance would be welcome here, as I can't wait to actively start
contributing to the project.

The only thing that worries me is the news about Apple's patent...
