First I'd like to congratulate for your efforts to get linux on ipod. I
still haven't tried it, but I now have a reason to do it: Apple has
released the new iPod, which apart from having the buttons in completely
the wrong place, features some significant improvements of the interface
(http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61905). Those
improvements will probably not be available to the old iPods, so I think
it's up to us to improve things for ourselves. I know that linux-on-iPod
is not mature enough yet, but the list of features of the new iPod can
provide you with some nice ideas - such as playlist creation on iPod,
and the display of notes.
As someone with experience in graphics (see www.satspeed.gr/~im/), I
would like to help with the interface as well. Can you tell me what the
resolution of the iPod screen is?
