#28 Play episode in media player does not work in iTunes

Running iPodder 2.1, Windows XP Home SP-2, iTunes 4.9

Right-clicking a download in the Downloads tab and
selecting "Play in Media Player" does not play
selection in iTunes 4.9. Nothing happens. When Windows
Media Player is selected, an error message "Windows
Media PLayer cannot find the specified file ..." appears.
If iTunes is not already running, right-clicking a
download and selecting "Play in Media Player" will open
iTunes, but the selected download will not play.
I have set iTunes to be the preferred program to open
all mp3 files, but this does not help.
