I have iTunes installed, but use Windows Media Player
to copy my podcasts to a Muvo MP3 player. WMP is
configured as my player for MP3 files, and if I press
the 'Boing' button in iPodder, it starts WMP and plays
the Boing there. However, whenever a new podcast is
downloaded, iPodder starts iTunes and adds that.

Is this a fault in ipodder that it always uses iTunes
by default, or do I need to configure WMP as the
default player for another type of file than MP3?

(Also, I second the request I've seen elsewhere that
each podcast shouldn't always get its own playlist -
the optional ability to set up a generic 'Podcasts'
playlist would be much better, and make it easier to
find, download and delete podcasts).

Great product, though.

The player choice will be inside in next release. Your
second request is listed in the FRQ list. Thanx.

Forget about the part that you can choose 'no player' then
nothing will happen after downloads are finished. So iTunes
    will not automatically start.
