I've had some troubles converting my 5gb iPod (HFS+) to fat32 using the 'winniepod'-script from winpod-0.1.0.tar.gz
I complained about not finding the sbp2-module and the bootblock/firmware-files. After inspecting the script, I found out there were some bugs (at least it didn't work on my iBook running DebianPPC Unstable, kernel 2.4.20-pre5-ben0).

After fiddling with the script, I got it to work. The patch for winniepod can be found at http://madline.xs4all.nl/ipod.php
