No

ipmitool 1.8.14 doesn't allow running 'ekanalyzer frushow' without specifying
a full set of target options (like -I, -H, -U, and -P as appropriate).

ipmitool 1.8.13 allowed that.

The 'ekanalyzer frushow' works on a local file and doesn't need access to
an IPMI-enabled device to operate.

It must be allowed to work without specifying target options in order to allow
for the users to verify their FRU dumps easily.

I would also like to see it function without IPMI device present .

    Hello,

attached is a patch/my take on this issue. In the end, I'm not happy with it, because of the following concerns:

    • it's impossible to utilize other IPMI tool's CLI flags
    • it adds yet another command to do the only one thing
    • the name :)

but it gets the job done.

    Z.

    Hello,

you should be able to achieve desired functionality through dummy interface.

    Z.
