  1. Collect enough (at least for duration of 1 day) uTorrent logs in a dedicated folder
To do this, in the uTorrent on the bottom panel on the 'Logger' tab in the context menu (called by right-click) select 'Log to File', then specify the full path to the folder and the file (for example, C: \Logs\1.txt).
Then in the same context menu, check 'Peer Traffic Logging' - 'Log Disconnects'.
Note: after restarting the computer or uTorrent, you need to re-select 'Log to File', indicating the new file name (for example, C: \Logs\2.txt).
  2. After collecting enough logs, run the IPFilterGenerator.exe program
  3. Press the "Parse uTorrent Logs" button, select the folder where the uTorrent logs are saved (to avoid file access conflict with uTorrent, is better to close it temporarily).
  4. The program will process logs, it can take some time.
  5. Press the "Calculate Threshold Using Interquartile Range" button, or enter the desired threshold yourself. It is used to filter undesirable peers with at least this number of timeout disconnects.
  6. Press the "Analyse Disconnects and Generate IPFilter" button. IPFilter.dat will be created in the folder with logs.
