iPerf 2.0.3 or 2.0.5 on CentOS 3.10 does not print test result output for UDP multicast test. It will however print UDP/TCP unicast test results. The server side shows it is listening and bound to multicast group address but does print any additional output. As for the multicast traffic itself, that is fine. I can see necessary pim joins and multicast route on the provider routers.

    Gave v 3 a try and multicast is no longer supported. Apparently iPerf was intended to be used in a unicast fashion.

    I also tried v 2.0.4, but the server side still does not print the test result.

      We moved iperf2 maintainence to here. https://sourceforge.net/projects/iperf2/ This code supports multicast testing.

      Note: I'm contemplating adding igmp/mld querier support via an optional thread when multicast traffic is being used but haven't done so yet. This is useful for making sure any intereconnecting L2 switches with IGMP/MLD snooping will update their mulitcast bridge tables.
