Along these same lines, has thought been given to adding a patch to the ker= nel for IMQ so that we can utilize ingress queuing also? I have loaded the= advanced QoS mod and have configured the ingress queuing, but it will not = do me any good until my kernel supports it. I understand that ingress queu= ing only matters from my firewall to my local network, but I still think it= could provide me with better management of my VoIP packets and games. I w= ould like to be able to get my firewall to understand that there are applic= ations that have top priority in both directions. As far as figuring out where the problem is in the current traffic shaping,= I wouldn't know where to begin to look. I am not a programmer. I just no= ticed the problem and after searching through forums for an answer, I was t= old to turn to you guys. I know that for me, increasing my speeds by 8X di= d not help. This is what someone had suggested due to the fact that they t= hought the thing was reading bits and not bytes. -----Original Message----- From: ipc...@li...
