Hi Everyone, Gary, I'm including Gary in this email because he knows more about the inclusion/importing of CIQ specs in the EDXL-RM schemas than I do, so he may have an idea about the current impasse I've reached in the IOSA-EDXL-RM application development. I've attached the report that NetBeans 6.1 on Linux generates when I try to automatically create the EDXL_RM_RequestResource Web Service in NetBeans from the WSDL created using the EDXL-RMRequestResource.xsd schema. I have annotated it in green and included the wsdl file at the end. It seems to me that there might be a bug in NetBeans 6.1 when it reports "(No such file or directory)" for "../xpil.xsd" from the CIQ-v3.0 specs. I've fussed with it (including versions of the file with the different camel case acronyms in the filenames) as much as I can afford to before switching gears to pursuing the quest for OASIS Approval for EDXL-RM. This is not an insurmountable obstacle, since we can create the web services by hand from the wsdl created from the xsd. It's just more work and I have to be concerned that we may run into validation problems with the CIQ specs later. However, one way or the other, I need to switch gears to going about the business of attempting to collect the necessary votes to approve EDXL-RM. It's going to be a busy week the Silver Sentinel exercise, and the visit by Chuck McLean who heads up the NIST Manufacturing Modeling Simulation Group, whose Exercise Control System I'm hoping can be adapted to testing EDXL message exchanges. We also have the EDXL-RIM meeting Thursday where how this all works through the DE is the starting point. Sigh. Nothing's ever easy ;-) Rex -- Rex Brooks President, CEO Starbourne Communications Design GeoAddress: 1361-A Addison Berkeley, CA 94702 Tel: 510-898-0670 |
