Emacs has lock files and backup files it creates.  That would have to be
 turned off, at least for the WebDAV directories.  I bet both lock files
and backup files were rejected by Oddmuse because the filenames are not
legal pagenames anymore.

(elisp)Magic File Names has some info to get hackers started; I myself
will look at it once the rest works...  :)

Plus Emacs has it's own webdav client which I haven't looked at, yet.
