That is kind of weird.  Maybe you could ask some Cygwin users/experts
why that might happen.

The worst that can happen is that the auxiliary tools won't build.
Just don't "make aux", and it's a non-issue.

That should work nicely.  I work on Solaris sometimes, and a while
back several Solaris hurdles were jumped.
