Does this actually install as partition on HD or does it install itself (virtually) inside of windows? I'm quite confused about this...
It installs a kernel inside windows, and all the necessary in order to start an installation. When the installation has started, you can do whatever you like with the partitions.
What happens to my Windows(XPH)>
Your Windows installation will then cease to exist (unless of course your were to resize your existing partition(s) and install Linux there). You would even then need to write the needed information to your new boot manager so it can find your Windows installation....
So,if there's an existing partition in addition to the Windows one,
Instlinux will recognize it and let you choose to install Linux in
there - without corrupting or deleting Windows itself?
