Thanks. Without a working CVS server I'm not sure how to commit this change, though. I didn't know there was any interest. I guess now I have to resume my campaign of bugging my sysadmin until he finally sets one up. Come to think of it, I probably need one anyway. I don't really use install-log anymore, since it appears to be completely and utterly obseleted by /package (http://cr.yp.to/slashpackage.html and http://multivac.cwru.edu./spf/), a superior way of managing packages using only filesystem tools. It is normal since line 96 of config.c known as config_file = safe_sprintf(NULL, NULL," %s/etc/install-log.rc ", root); gives config_file="(null)/etc/install.log" with default value of root=NULL. I modified this line as follow config_file = safe_sprintf(NULL, NULL, "%s/etc/install-log.rc", root?root:""); It is probably not the best solution but now it works. |
