Inprotect is a worthy project, as there is a great demand for a solid on demand vulnerabiltiy scanning solution. Access to Nessus via a web browser would be an ideal solution for many people.
However I can only gather that the slow down in development may be partially due to the uncertainty surrounding the future licensing since Tenable made Nessus closed source.
Has there been any thoughts of moving the Inprotect project forward but in the direction of the OpenVas project?
I am not a coder but would be willing to assist with testing and documentation if this was to develop further.
That would be very nice.
I think OpenVAS is the new Nessus because it has an open code and yes: is free as in free beer.
I really like Inprotect but Nessus altered the code and changed their Homefeed scan settings so people can only scan 15 scans at a time, which is a pain in the ass.
Therefor I switched to OpenVAS but also their open code and up to date plugins make it a better competitor then Nessus (besides their support option).
So yes, it would be really nice to have Inprotect work with OpenVAS :)
Kind regards,
Michiel

Is there update for this issue? I will post it also in the feature requests.
I think it won't be to hard because of the OpenVAS code being made from the Nessus 2.* code…
