I'm not sure whether this has been suggested in the past.
The other day I struggled a bit until I realised that one can specify a filelist/lilemask for the extract (via '-e' and '-x') or test commands (via '-t'), but not to get a file listing (via '-v') limited in the same way as for these other commands.
I'd like to think this would be useful, and in keeping with the behaviour found with most (it not all) of the other extraction utilities I'm familiar with.
