QuickeneR, innounp does not seem able to support Inno Setup >= 5.1.13 installers.  I know this version hasn't been out for very long, but I just wanted to give you a heads up about it in case you weren't aware of the issue.  I'm definitely looking forward to an update release that supports the new versions.  :-)

I think this is my first comment on this forum, but I've actually been using innounp for quite some time.  It's extremely useful.  Thanks for all the work you've put into it.

Inno Setup 5.1.14 is out and also not supported , I would like if you guys have the time to get it done for us.

Here is the preliminary 0.20 version that supports IS up to 5.1.14. If no severe errors are found in it, I'll release it officially shortly.

Thanks for this version, and no errors are found in it.

The 0.20 version don't extract a file in the {app} folder although the file is shown with the -v parameter (the version 0.19 extract it correctly).

Ignore my previous message, I have discovered that it was my AV that have deleted the file.

      Hi!

Unfortunately I found an application which Innounp cannot handle... :(
      http://www.auslogics.com/disk-defrag/download/diskdefrag_install.exe
      (it's free)

      This is the output:
      C:\TEMP\>innounp -x diskdefrag_install.exe
      ; Version detected: 5113
      #1 {app}\DiskDefrag,1.exe
      Reading slice C:\TEMP\diskdefrag_install.exe
Error (Exception) "The source file is corrupted" at address 004402E2

      Innounp's the best!!!!!!!!! :):):):):):)
      Thanks!

That is specifically the test case that I wished to try "0.20" on.
        Unfortunately it did not work.

is this also tested or released?

What does the word test say to you?

This seems to work fine for me as well.  I confirmed that it will extract a couple of 5.1.14 installers.  I also tested it on several older Inno-based installers I have archived, and all were properly extracted.

      Thanks for the update!

I just did a bit more testing and confirmed a problem (actually in 0.19 as well as 0.20) that had been reported elsewhere.  On this forum post:
      http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&showtopic=62418&view=findpost&p=689228

A user reported that the new version of Universal Extractor did not properly extract all contents of this installer:
      http://www.winavi.com/download/winavi_ipod_video_converter.exe

UniExtract relies on innounp for Inno Setup support, and the only difference between 1.5 and 1.6 was moving to innounp v0.19.  If I extract the file using version 0.18, I get 25 files in the {app}\Skins\0 directory, including min,2.bmp.  If I use version 0.19 or the 0.20 test, I only get 24 files.

Any idea what might have caused this regression?

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Have a look at the release notes for 0.19, and you'll find the option -a that will extract this file. It is not extracted by default since it is an exact duplicate of the first file going by the same name (min.bmp).

      Thanks.

Ok, I almost hate to post this given that you've already put out several test versions, but I just noticed that the latest test020 build does not support version 5.2.1, which was just released yesterday.  Just wanted to let you know.

Btw, any idea why each new release of Inno Setup breaks compatibility with innounp so regularly now?  I may be mistaken, but I seem to remember that one version of innounp would typically support several new releases of Inno Setup before some incompatibility was introduced.  Now, it seems that every single version requires an innounp update.  Why the change?

    • Nobody/Anonymous

If you could add support for Inno Setup 5.2.1 that would be great!

    • Nobody/Anonymous

Obligatory test file for 5.2.1 support (which fails currently):

      http://www.auslogics.com/disk-defrag/download/diskdefrag_install.exe

Signature detected: Inno Setup Setup Data (5.2.1)
This is not directly supported, but i'll try to unpack it as version 5200
      ; Version detected: 5201
Critical error: The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program.
Unpacking failed. This version is not supported.
