#2 error "you have extra layers"

I noticed in my xml tree view that there was, on page 1, a layer at the same level as page 1 in the current view, whereas page 2 had no layers. So I thought I would just tidy things up a bit, and I put all my nodes on the "page1" layer itself. Now I can no longer move between pages, I keep getting an error "you have extra layers, please put all nodes on Page 1 layer and remove the extra layers, then try again." This is very strange because I do not have any extra layers, in fact I just removed what I thought was an extra layer and I started getting this message. How can I fix this?

You basically have to undo the operation. You have to move all your objects on the layer page 1
