BadMatch X Window System error

    I just installed Inkscape and Inkcut on my computer and I am running into this error when I try and expand the serial settings in the device properties. Expanding the "printer" settings works fine. As a result, I am unable to change the serial port settings.

    I have this installed on Kubuntu 11.04 with inkscape .048.1 r9760.

    Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated!

    Full text of error is as follows:

    The program 'inkcutext.py' received an X Window System error.
    This probably reflects a bug in the program.
    The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
      (Details: serial 9988 error_code 8 request_code 62 minor_code 0)
      (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
       that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
       To debug your program, run it with the -sync command line
       option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
       backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

    I saw a similar BadMatch error "error_code 8 request_code 62 minor_code 0" using Inkscape 0.48.3.1 and InkCut 1.0 on Kubuntu 12.04.  When I clicked the "Serial" drop-down in the properties dialog I briefly saw a dialog, then the window with the error.  I wonder how to even debug this..

    Just tried running Inkcut in 0.48.4 in Kubuntu 13.04 and I'm also getting this error.

    Looks like this is caused by a bug in the oxygen-gtk theme, if you change the GTK2 theme to QTCurve then the window opens.
