Since we decided no longer to use an internal frame for the Navigation/Progress there is now no longer a "Close" button to hide this area. It's useful to hide the area in the review step where long object names can occur. Therefore we agreed that it's still possible to hide it by using the Split Pane's separator. The issue, at leas on my linux box, is that the separator is not visible. I am attaching a screen shot.
From my experience there is no need to minimize the navigation panel, on the Review page the user can just maximize their window. It's easier to do it this way.
There is a need, e.G. because we removed the Close button. Your point for removing the Close button was that we keep this. So let's keep it as aggreed previously!
We agreed to remove the ability to re-size the navigation pane back beginning of Sept. We can discuss during the demo on Wednesday.
* Currently the Separator is invisible but indeed usable
* If the user knows where it is he can move it, this is a GUI issue
* There are two possible solutions:
- Avoid that you can move it (not my opinion)
- Make the separator visible
