It’s interesting to see discussions like this around InfraRecorder, especially since it’s still recognized as a lightweight and straightforward CD/DVD burning tool for Windows despite being quite old. From what I’ve seen, many users appreciate its simplicity and ability to handle basic tasks like creating ISO images or burning discs without unnecessary complexity . That said, compatibility with newer systems and hardware can sometimes be a concern due to limited updates. For users who prefer modern...

Thanks for sharing those details—they’re extremely useful for narrowing things down. Since the splash screen shows momentarily before the application shuts down and crash dumps are being generated, this strongly suggests a startup-level issue rather than a logging or configuration error. Attaching the crash dump is absolutely the right move, as it can reveal exactly what’s failing during launch. Tackling the problem step by step—reviewing dependencies, compatibility, and crash data with the same...

Hello everyone, I’ve recently been testing InfraRecorder on a Windows system and wanted to ask a general question regarding compatibility and best practices. The software itself is lightweight and easy to use, but I noticed that information about current Windows versions and long-term support seems a bit scattered across different sources. I’m particularly interested in understanding which Windows builds InfraRecorder works most reliably on today, and whether there are any known limitations when...

It looks like InfraRecorder is crashing right after launch without producing useful logs, though it does leave crash dump files in the AppData/Local/CrashDumps folder, which can be helpful for troubleshooting. Issues like this are often caused by corrupted configuration files or conflicts with the PortableApps launcher, which is why some users suggest deleting the settings.xml file or running the executable directly to improve stability. I recently dealt with a frustrating crash at startup on Windows 11, and it took me a while to figure out what was causing it. Every time I launched the program, it would freeze instantly and close without any error message. After testing different fixes, I discovered the issue was tied to a conflicting background process that loaded alongside one of my tools. Since I work a lot with apps & delta script, I initially thought the problem was related to my scripts, but it turned out Windows was blocking...

I’ve run into similar issues with InfraRecorder crashing on startup in Windows 11. Since you’re already seeing crash dumps, that confirms the app is failing right after initialization. A few things you could try: Compatibility Mode: Right-click the exe → Properties → Compatibility → run as Windows 7/8. Sometimes older apps behave better this way. Run as Administrator: Especially with portable builds, permissions can block execution. Check .NET/Visual C++ Runtimes: Make sure you’ve got the latest...

It sounds like the main issue is with Visual Studio not knowing where to look for the required headers and libraries. In most cases, just placing dependencies in the project folders won’t work—you need to go into Project Properties → VC++ Directories (or C/C++ → General and Linker → General) and explicitly set the Include Directories and Library Directories to the paths where those dependencies are located. Also, make sure you’re matching the correct architecture (x86 vs x64) when compiling, as mismatched...

It looks like InfraRecorder might be crashing due to a compatibility or dependency issue. Try running it in compatibility mode and make sure you have the latest Visual C++ Redistributable installed. Also, check if your antivirus such as sito web or any other antivirus is blocking it. If that doesn’t help, you might want to try an alternative like ImgBurn or CDBurnerXP.

Experiencing a crash at startup on Windows 11 can be frustrating and disruptive. This issue often stems from a variety of causes such as outdated system updates, corrupted system files, driver incompatibilities, or even overheating hardware. To address this, start by checking for the latest Windows updates to ensure your system is running the most stable version. Running system scans using tools like SFC (System File Checker) and DISM can repair corrupted or missing files that might cause crashes....

I was having trouble with my Windows 11 crashing right when it started, but I managed to fix it by following some simple steps. First, I made sure my Windows and all my drivers were up to date, since outdated software can cause issues. Then, I ran some built-in tools like the System File Checker (SFC) and DISM to repair any corrupted system files. I also checked my hardware just to be sure there were no overheating problems or faulty parts like RAM. To avoid software conflicts, I turned off Fast...
