Initial Comment:
I think infobot should have an owner level feature, or 
possibly a flag, allowing users to lock/unlock 
factoids.. if the bot allows the public to 
set/remove/alter factoids, any random person can say, 
for example "quake is lame" on a channel or something, 
and offset the db. Perhaps once a factiod is locked, 
only an owner can change it? Or something..

We have just merged an old fork of infobot, called blootbot, back to
infobot. The request for factoid locking has been part of blootbot for a
while now. I am closing this bug since it no longer applies. Enjoy! ;)

my thought was always to have an input scale of 1-10. an
admin would have a high input number, say 8, and common
guests or users that contributed several times would have a
mid level number (5) while a new user would have a low
number. this way, a new user cannot overwrite something the
admin has said (since the higher number has priority.) just
a thought. this could be just a horrid idea, but i thought i
would atleast mention it,

definately adding ownership to a comment would be a useful
option... unless this has been implemented already in one of
the extensions?
