I have a scribot that's accessible via IRC, Jabber, HTTP, and Spread.  It
is, indeed, a lot handier than having the bot sitting on just IRC. 

In a worryingly geeky way, I suppose, since I can submit URLs via the 
Jabber client on my phone.  Hmm.  Maybe I need to get out more.
