inetquota / News: Recent posts

The new version of inetquota has been release.

This is a server for limiting internet access by time quota. It provides PHP web pages for examples but not more gui for managing account.

I am starting to work on a version 2.0 of inetquota.
I hope a beta version will be available in june and a full release in september.
Here is some basic new idea for the new version:
- Working with PHP instead of CGI
- Logging facilities (help needed for this part)using database or log file?

Inetquota is a powerful Internet-access quota utility.
It consists of CGi-Bin scripts/C programs using firewall rules in order to allow user to access on Internet. User should logon (and finally logoff) on a web page which starts scripts. Scripts can be changed for all purpose. For example, you can dial your modem to ISP automatically when the first user has identified and hang up when the last user logoff.
