Thanks Karunakar. Actually I explored some more after posting my original question. And I was able to use the in-built xkb keyboard for inputting Marathi using the default keyboard (Devanagari inscript). It was just a matter of selecting "Indian" keyboard without any variant. Initially I was trying to find the Devanagari keyboard variant under the Indian keyboards, but later I realised that the Devanagari variant is not mentioned explicitly. I wish it was though, as it will make searching the keyboard simpler, for those who are new to GNU/Linux. Anyway, I am not using ibus anymore. I found xkb simpler. |
