Namaskar! I am a newbie to this forum and linux in general. I came across the indlinux project after trying to find my way to type in Marathi on my linux machine (debian with XFCE). I was able to install the [ibus-m17n input method](https://github.com/ibus/ibus) and use Marathi inscript keyboard to type. Thanks to whoever has developed this, assuming it is someone from this group! I actually had a question regarding the layout. I followed the below link to check the layout - https://indlinux.org/wiki/index.php/InscriptLayouts#Marathi (This link is present in the About section of ibus-setup. See attached image.) As per the layout image, SHIFTed version of numeric key "3" and "4" should be" ्र" and "र्", but it comes out as "#" and "$". Rest all number keys are ok. Could you please tell why this is happening? (Is this an intended behavior or not?) Going by the below link, it seems like an intended behavior but I am unable to understand it yet. http://kbdlayout.info/KBDINDEV/shiftstates+virtualkeys/base Thanks Sanket Pandit Garade |
