Okay, I will invite ppl interested in Python and data modeling. I ask
you to include 'mvieira' user a project developer.

Architectural patterns are pattern descriptions of common used
architectures, like 'pipes-and-filters', 'mvc', 'layers',
'blackboard'. There are some books and catalogues at topics. I advice
you to take a look at
http://twiki.im.ufba.br/bin/view/MAT061/TopESLivrosArtigos
There are 2 articles about the topic.
An architectural pattern like 'blackboard' and/or 'mvc' could be
suitable in this kind of software (modeling). And it helps to document
and trace sw artifacts in 'a free software project' development cicle,
like any other 'non-free software project'.
