I will work with an interpreted language in my MSc.: Lua (www.lua.org) , so I may have some time to python too. A doubt: what 'analyst/designer' role is able to do in sf.net? I've tried to look up some help information about that but haven't found (maybe haven't searched enough :). > > Anyway, feel free to contribute when you have time and will. > > By the way: Be welcome... Maux, I have added you to the "IncubusGroup" at TWiki, which means that you can alter the pages of the Incubus web, and "mvieira" at the sourceforge site. I put your role as Analyst/Designer, but if you want to become another role feel free to ask. Even if you want to become an admin. But I know that you do not have much time these days. Anyway, feel free to contribute when you have time and will. By the way: Be welcome... [Eric Jardim] PS: Sorry for the long time for adding you into the project, but I just got more time now. |

Some links: About the book we presented at 'Topics in Software Engineering [1]' classes http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?PatternOrientedSoftwareArchitectureOne I think the blackboard pattern is appliable in this modeling tool, cause 1 representation will be treated in various ways. Blackboard pattern: http://www.openloop.com/softwareEngineering/patterns/architecturePattern/arch_Blackboard.htm [1] http://www.im.ufba.br/mat061 (in portuguese) Regards, Mauricio On Tue, 4 Jan 2005 14:40:46 -0300, Mauricio Vieira <mau...@gm...> wrote: > Hi Eric, > > On Tue, 4 Jan 2005 11:39:35 -0200, Eric Jardim <eri...@gm...> wrote: > > On Tue, 4 Jan 2005 10:28:16 -0200, Mauricio Vieira > > <mau...@gm...> wrote: > > > Hi, > > > I heard about this project by the original author at python-ba > > > list. Anyway, you should invite some people to join the list. Okay, I will invite ppl interested in Python and data modeling. I ask you to include 'mvieira' user a project developer. > > Well, for start, could you give us a little brief of what are > "Architectural Patterns" and how it could help a Free Software project > (like incubus)? Architectural patterns are pattern descriptions of common used architectures, like 'pipes-and-filters', 'mvc', 'layers', 'blackboard'. There are some books and catalogues at topics. I advice you to take a look at http://twiki.im.ufba.br/bin/view/MAT061/TopESLivrosArtigos There are 2 articles about the topic. An architectural pattern like 'blackboard' and/or 'mvc' could be suitable in this kind of software (modeling). And it helps to document and trace sw artifacts in 'a free software project' development cicle, like any other 'non-free software project'. > > Do not matter if there is no one reading, because all the valuable > content of the list should be added to the Wiki site later. Actually, you are the first (beside me) to join the list. It should sound a little silly because only we are talking to each other on this list. And in English! :) But someone, someday, should retrieve the archieves and read this (I hope). Anyway, you should invite some people to join the list. Well, for start, could you give us a little brief of what are "Architectural Patterns" and how it could help a Free Software project (like incubus)? Do not matter if there is no one reading, because all the valuable content of the list should be added to the Wiki site later. thanks, [Eric Jardim] |

Hi, I heard about this project by the original author at python-ba list. I have no much experience in python, but have been studying SE patterns like Design Patterns and Architectural Patterns and would like to help. Regards, -- Mauricio B. C. Vieira http://coisa.im.ufba.br/~vieira |
