Simply select Z: in the RamDisk Configuration Tool and then click on "Unmount".
This unmounts it and, if it is registered to be mounted at startup, this unregisters it (in the registry).
This is said in the tooltip of the "Unmount" button, but the tooltip only appears if the button is activated. This is a behavior of Windows and it would be very complicated to workaround it.

thanks, but it is greyed out... for Z - my guess is because I unmounted it with the imdisk driver tool already. Unforuntately it is a complicated process to reboot my pc, I don't think I will do it for several days.(after reboot Z: will re-appear) Is there another way via the commmand line? or would that be too complicated that way - to unregister Z: ?

I had created with IMDisk Toolkit Z:, I changed it to T: and now I have both Z: and T: upon boot.
How can I remove Z: ?

In this case, recreate the ramdisk Z: and then you will be able to use the "Unmount" button.
Z: will be redefined and then removed from the registry, without changing anything for T: .
