[Imd-linux-beta_1] installing/running,RH 9

ok i got all the files downloaded. But i am unsure what to do ? i dont
want to screw my system up.

just a few questions, is it safe to just unzip the files etc.. and run
it.
or do i have to uninstall some programs first, then install ?
