#3 Why is there no CVS access to get pre released versions

Why is there no CVS access to get prerelesed Versions
with tiny bugfixes.
Small impovements. A user should use at his own risk,
but i think this should be possible to keep a project
alive.
It seems to me, the project is really close and there
is no much work on it
