One thing I spent lots and lots of time on was getting images lined up with the song transitions.
While doing a memorial display for my dad's service we have a number of groupings of photos and I selected music for the occasions and it took lots of work getting slide timing lined up with song transistions.
A bar across the bottom with something indicating song(even song 1, song 2, etc) would be helpful as long as there was a mark at each song start.
Having preview have an option to start at a song start would be helpful also. Currently I had to start at the beginning every time to tweek the slide timing and out at 15+ minutes it got time consumer.
Otherwise, LOVE the application. Way better than dvd-slideshow.
Hello Doug, thanks for your comment and for using Imagination. Unfortunately what you asked is extremely difficult to code as GTK doesn't offer a native timeline widget and building it from scratch is hard indeed. I do not get any donation sadly for Imagination and the time I have to code it is not too much. Anyway, during those "lockdown days" I'm improving it. I recently added a preview timer that gets updated when the user click on a slide with the time the clicked slide starts from when previewing. Also I'm getting rid of ffmpeg run into the background by using avcodec straight away. I attached a small clip showing the preview. Keep safe, all the best to you and your family.
