I would use Imagination from the linux command line without install Gnome or KDE. With this option you can intergrate this application simple in other applications!

Is there a way to add this?

Hello, this feature requires quite a LOOOOOT of changes in the code. It will not included soon. Sorry about that.

I'm not sure it's possible to achieve what you asked. Imagination paints on Cairo surface and Cairo is tied to GTK...
