[Ilisp-help] lispworks error handling

I'm running a lispworks image dumped from lispworks 4.2.6 for linux
under ilisp-20021222 and xemacs 21.4.

Whenever I C-M-x an expression to lispworks that causes the listener
to enter the debugger, xemacs hangs, I have to C-g, then switch to the
lispworks buffer, C-c C-c, then repair ilisp connection.  Any
suggestions for figuring out what is going wrong?
