The attached patch fixes a problem in completer running on Emacs
running on Windows. First of all the original code didn't work at
all since replace-in-string is not defined in Emacs and even if you
fixed that, it seems that replacing slashes with backslashes is not
a good idea in Emacs -- completer wasn't able to display the list
of possible completions. This may not be the most appropriate fix
but at least it's better than nothing. Someone who actually uses
Emacs and completer on Windows can hack further if this doesn't
turn out to be good enough.
