iKeePass can not open 1.24 format databases

iKeePass (ver 2.5.3) fails to open Dropbox synced database saved with KeePass 1.24 on Windows computer.
Reinstalling iKeePass did not fix the problem.
Resaving the DB on the computer did not fix the problem.
Reverting to KeePass 1.23 and resaving the DB allowed iKeePass to open the DB.
