I am running version 0.3.1 of KeePassX on my 2009 MacBook White. I can successfully download the .kdb file to my iPhone after I copied the database to my "sites" folder and turning on Web Sharing. However, when I enter my password it tells me the database is corrupted. I don't require a key file to open the database, and I can open the file from the "sites" folder with KeePassX on my Mac, so I am not sure why iKeePass tells me it is corrupt.

NOTE: The name of my database is Database.kdb. Before I read the instructions I downloaded a file called Database.kdb from www.ikeepass.de that was corrupt. I subsequently deleted it, pointed iKeePass to my local IP address and downloaded the correct database file from my Mac, but it still tells me it is corrupt. (see screen shot for some more details)

Screen Prints of correct IP address and file name, and the error message I receive.

I am also getting the same error. I have a file that I have opened on windows keepass, blackberry keepass and maemo keepass without issue. I am downloading the file from my iis based website. the file downloads fine but when I try to open it, ikeepass tells me the file is corrupt. I even created a small test file with only one entry and get the same error.

Just as a follow-up. I dowloaded keepassx to my windows machine and opend the database just fine. I exported to an xml file and tried to download that to the ipod touch. It downloaded from my IIS website just fine but I get a database corrupt message when I try to open the xml file also.

I've got the same issue having exported the db running Keepass 1.16 on Windows...no keyfile, just a password on the database and get the databasefilecorrupt error message trying to open it.

When using iis as the web server you'll need to add a MIME type for the kdb extension. I used application/octet-stream and could get past the database corrupt message.

As an additional test I did a save as on the link in IE to download it and then opened it in keepass on windows just fine. It appears that the webserver side of things is just fine.
