hi,

i am using privoxy v3.0.19 on WinXP SP3 with QtWeb browser v3.7.5.
ad blocking works great on most sites, i could set some user defined rules as well.
the only site which with i am experiencing unsolvable problem is gmail.com (or accounts.google.com). i get the message of "Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off." (http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&hlrm=de&answer=9525)

i tried

{ allow-all-cookies }
gmail.com
mail.google.com
accounts.google.com

and

{ fragile }
.google-analytics.com
gmail.com
mail.google.com
accounts.google.com

in user.action but it did not work.
then finally realized that i cannot log into gmail even when privoxy is TOGGLED OFF.
(of course, log in to gmail is seamless when privoxy is not running.)

so i am clueless. is there anything i should check to make it work?

thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your quick answer. I tried to log in to Gmail through Privoxy in IE and it worked. Even without setting anything in user.action file.
    So, you are probably right, there is something wrong with my QtWeb browser... :(

    At proxy settings I tried setting Gmail as "Exception" (not handled through the proxy), but unfortunately it has not helped either.

    I attach the logfile, anyway.

    Thanks for your support.

    Thanks for the logfile.

    It only contains encrypted request and as Privoxy can't modify any cookies in those, Privoxy is unlikely to be the cause of this problem. There also appears to be no connection to the Opera issue I mentioned previously which doesn't affect HTTPS either.

    If you already checked that QtWeb allows cookies, it could also be a problem with gmail itself.
