Know the feeling, been real busy here too! ;) > > OK, it looks like there are two issues: [snip] > 2) The changes I made require a modern version of autoconf - I'm using > 2.53. > Is everyone happy to upgrade, or should I fix it to be backwards > compatible? Happy to upgrade, just considering that RedHat 7.2 comes with Autoconf 2.13 (or something like that). Loads of people who want to build themselves will have an incompatible version of autoconf, and thus to build Privoxy they need to get a new version of autoconf. Easy, I know, but, the build will fail, they may not read the doccos, more bugreports, etc, etc ;) > (The issue is that the way autoheader generates config.h.in has changed. > 2.53 > recognizes both, but displays a 10-line warning if the old way is used. > I hadn't realized this when I made the changes, but it looks like 2.13 > only > recognizes the old way.) trouble is, I guess, we'd like to be up-to-date :) Usual conundrum, and it seems OS/2 is broken too if you upgrade, I'd stick with 2.13 for now... :)J http://www.sold.com.au - SOLD.com.au - Find yourself a bargain! |
