SF login: arthurn How do I create a custom filter to block flash on certain sites? I am not familiar with editing scripts so please give me step by step instructions if possible. I tried reading the official site and looked at the scripts but I can't figure it out. Thank you so much! For example, this site has many annoying flash ads that Privoxy doesn't block by default: http://hk.dictionary.yahoo.com/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2009-11-01 02:21 Message: This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. Hopefully that's enough for you to figure out which flash files you don't want. Timestamps stripped off, the log file looks like this: Request: l.yimg.com/mq/a/hk/js/flash_generic_20070608_min.js Request: l.yimg.com/mq/i/global/js/yahoo_dom_event_2.1.2.js Request: hk.dictionary.yahoo.com/q9/q9enable.js Request: l.yimg.com/mq/a/hk/etown/101609_etown_banner_yhhk_dict_420x120_ct_200909.swf Request: w.dl.hk.yahoo.com/dic/audio_key.swf Request: l.yimg.com/mq/a/hk/etown/101609_Etown_banner_YHHK_Dict_300x250_ST_200910.swf Request: l.yimg.com/d/lib/bc/bcr_2.0.4.js Request: l.yimg.com/mq/a/hk/etown/Etown_banner_YHHK_Dict_300x100_OE_FREE_200906.swf Request: fpdownload2.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/update/current/xml/version_en_win_pl.xml Then try to figure out a pattern that blocks the ads and add it to user.action This worked for me: ###################################################################### # block and ignore # {+block{Ads and Trackers} +handle-as-empty-document -handle-as-image} .yimg.com/.*/hk/etown/.*\.swf # SF tracker 2688306 Regards, Lee ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Arthur (arthurn) Date: 2009-03-16 08:15 Message: And on a related note, how do I whitelist certain sites?
