This is probably a bug in Firefox, but I thought I'd post this anyway,
just in case.I submitted a bug report to the Firefox developers regarding
this problem too.
I'm using Firefox 0.9.3 and Mozilla 1.7 on a Fedora Core 1 box, with
Privoxy 3.0.3 serving them both on the same network. Both browsers are set
to use Privoxy for HTTP and SSL. I set my user.action to crunch ingoing
and outgoing cookies.
On viewing the same site, e.g. CNN, I can't prevent Firefox from receiving
incoming cookies, while Mozilla doesn't get them. I set both browsers to
notify me if any cookies are offered. Firefox prompts me to accept
cookies; Mozilla never prompts me.
I set Privoxy to log header parsing, with Firefox I get a line that says
"Header: scan: Cookie:...", while at the same position in the logfile I
get "scan: Referrer:" with Mozilla, which looks like the cookie request
Except for cookies, both browsers work perfectly, with all junk being
blocked equally as far as I can tell.
