    Hello,
We use VIPS to convert jpeg to tiff file, using the command "vips im_vips2tiff
test.jpeg test.tif:deflate,tile:128x128,pyramid" and it works to generate the
correct tiff file. And the resolution number is 7. I wander how can I define
this value by myself to get more scales to zoom.

    Thanks

You want even smaller resolutions? Vips will create enough resolutions so that
the smallest fits wholly into a single tile, so in your case, the smallest
will be less than 128x128 pixels in size. I think imagemagick will create an
    extra smaller one by default.

Or are you asking about intermediate resolutions, not just a factor of 2? For
this, you'll have to modify the vips source code or create the layers and
assemble yourself using the libtiff tools. But the viewers currently assume x2
scaling, so they may not work properly ...

I want the pic can zoom in more because it is not clear enough. So we need
    bigger resolution scale.

OK, well IIPImage will not do this kind of interpolation for you, so you will
need to rescale your image up first, then save for use with IIPImage.
