Welcome to the home of IFL, an Interactive Fiction Language. This project consists of a compiler and interpreter/virtual machine for creating and playing games known as interactive fiction or text adventures.
As you can see, I haven't yet uploaded the sources for the project, but I will do so soon. This project has been in development for quite some time now; I'm awaiting information from SourceForge.net to ensure that I correctly upload my existing CVS repository, so that interested developers will have a complete history of the project available.
You may be wondering why I've created IFL given that compilers such as Inform and interpreters such as Zip are already available. The simple answer is that I thought it would be fun! I also wanted to try out some different ideas based on my own experiences with using existing interactive fiction systems.
So please come back in a few days, download and read the documentation (and sources if you're a developer), and let me know what you think of IFL.
