ipw2200 is not the only driver that will be using IEEE 802.11 net
stack and many of the other drivers have not use ethX interface names..
As has been mentioned number of times before when the question on
interface names has come up on various mailing lists, the interface name
can be renamed in user space (e.g., with ifrename) if someone feels
really strongly on the having to be something else.
