There are numerous drivers which use ethX and can still be used to sniff management frames (such as the ipw drivers, the orinoco drivers, etc). =20 Every device has an arp link type that indicates what sort of frames=20 are on it, such as IEEE raw, IEEE-PRISM/AVS, Radiotap, blah blah blah. This is handled exactly the same if its call ethX, wlanX, athX, it doesn't matter.
