I don't think anyone is actively maintaining iEatBrainz anymore.
I have virtually no programming skills but I am going to download Xcode from Apple and see if I can recompile a Universal Binary for the application. I too have performance problems. It doesn't crash upon opening, but I get constant hangs and sometimes the application just freezes.

@Tim (focher) I was just thinking of doing the same (downloading the source and building for Intel). How'd that go?

I've compiled it myself (had to fix some Framework-errors), but i wonder why nobody uploads a universal version for the end user?
